Connecting the Ring doorbell to wireless connection is not a difficult process, you just need to follow some simple guidelines and you can do it easily without any hassle.

Download the Ring Doorbell App
To connect the Ring Doorbell to your wireless connection, first of all, you have to download the Ring Mobile app on your device from the play store. For this, you will require:
Open the supported app store on your mobile device.
Enter the Ring Doorbell in the search box.
Download and install the Ring app to your device.
Create the Account
To use the Ring app, you have to create the Ring account. If you have already installed the device then you might have the ring account. But, if you are doing the Ring Doorbell Setup for the first time, you have to create the account. To set up the account:
Open the Ring application on your device.
Choose the ‘Setup Device’ option.
Setup the device
After choosing the ‘Setup Device’ option, choose the Ring Video Doorbell option in the application.
Scan QR Code
You can scan the QR code directly. The code is present on the Ring Video Doorbell backside. The code will connect your device automatically to the Ring doorbell.
Set the Name for your Device
During the device setup, you have the flexibility of changing and personalizing the Ring device name to make it different from the other installed devices in your account. You can either select the name from the given suggestions or choose to set the custom device name for your Ring Doorbell.
Mention the Device location
This is specific to the user who is setting up or installing the Ring device for the very first time. In this step, you will get the phone request to seek your permission for accessing your current location. By allowing the ring app to access your location, your address will be configured automatically with the Ring device.
Important– The specific location of the user is very important for the device as some of the features supported by the device is location specific and won’t work properly without the exact location. Activate Device into Setup Mode
For activating the Ring Doorbell Setup mode, push “Orange Button’ present at the back of your device. The front light on the device will start blinking, tap continues button in the ring app.
Setup WiFi Settings
Proceed to this step only if you have skipped the fourth step in which you have to scan the QR code. Here, your device must be connected to the wireless network called Ring Doorbell Setup. This will automatically happen if you use an Android device. But, in the case of the iOS device, you have to follow the below-mentioned steps:
Press the Home button to exit the Ring App on your iPhone device.
Open ‘Settings’ and select ‘WiFi’ option.
Choose the network listed as ‘Ring’ followed by the last six number of your MAC ID.
Exit the settings and go to the Ring app again.
The app will display the available wireless networks. Connect to your network.
Connect the Ring DoorBell to WiFI
Now, connect the doorbell to a wireless network. Make sure you have the wifi password and if you are using the multiple wireless networks, select the one installed nearer to your Ring Doorbell.
After completing the setup, the ring device may update the internal software. Do not proceed to the next step until the update process gets completed.
Run and Test
After successfully setting up your device and updating it, click on the front button to run the test call. This will initiate the insider software and the Ring doorbell is ready to work.
